Main focus is on proper form and technique. We learn basic weight room safety, lifting techniques, various lifts, and some basic anatomy. Our core lifts that are graded for this course are: Bench Press, Incline Press, Parallel Squat
Weight Training & Conditioning II & III
Our focus in these upper level courses is to learn more advanced lifts and develop more personal responsibility in developing workout routines. Our core lifts that are graded for WTC 2 are: Bench Press, Incline Press, Parallel Squat, Olympic Bar Dead Lift Our core lifts that are graded for WTC 3 are: Bench Press, Incline Press, Parallel Squat, Olympic Bar Dead Lift, Power Cleans
Our classes will typically lift 3 days per week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) and work on fitness & conditioning 2 days per week (Tuesday/Thursday). If we have a shorter week, the schedule will be modified. Every Thursday we will work on our fitness and have choices with the other elective classes. Our fitness testing will include: mile run, minute push-ups, minute sit-ups. You will be responsible for inputting your times/scores on days we test.
